For the adventurous and thrill-seeking people out there, one of the activities you can’t miss out on is skydiving!

The knee-jerking and adrenaline-pushing experience will surely leave you with an everlasting impression of excitement and awe. Many people travel the world to witness such an incredible experience. Of course, you may have heard of Dubai’s Jumeirah Skydive, it is as captivating as it sounds, but you need not leave the country to experience the same level of buzz and thrill!

Anyone can do skydiving. But for beginners, it is often seen that tandem diving is the best way to go. This happens with a trained professional strapped on to their backs to not only help them regulate the safety of the diver, but also to help them navigate towards the right path. They’re the ones handling the nitty-gritty details of skydiving, as the beginner diver screams to their heart’s content.

Another way to go about it for beginners is the static line dive, where a beginner diver jumps off and has their parachute opened automatically via a line that is connected to the plane, just in time for the diver to float into safety. If this sounds more appealing, then this might be the way to go for you!

Being an adrenaline junkie, you need to know when the best time is for doing such an extreme sport. Because it is important to know the climate conditions during the days you decide to engage in the sport, since weather is a big factor in knowing whether or not it is safe to continue. Here in the Philippines, the best time to go skydiving is from November to June, when the sun is warm, and the skies are not too cloudy.

And inside the country, we also have different skydiving sites that can be compared to the ones you get to experience abroad. If you just want to try and experience skydiving, there’s no need to book a plane ticket elsewhere! Because “here” is all you need:

1. Zambales

It may be known for its gorgeous sandy beaches and getting the authentic camping experience, trekking to the volcanoes, or maybe you know it for its popular inflatable island, but that’s not all they offer! Because Zambales is also a tourist spot for skydiving! In Iba (which is the capital of Zambales), you can find skydiving packages ranging from 18,000 pesos to 20,000 pesos. Some services also give you the option to pay in monthly

2. Pangasinan

Pangasinan, also known as the Heartland of the Philippines, is a major salt producer in the Philippines (Pangasinan when translated means “place of salt”); they also offer beautiful beaches, island explorations, witnessing waterfalls, delicious local cuisine, and of course skydiving. The drop zone is located in Binalonan, Pangasinan.

3. Cebu

Another place where different beautiful islands hail, one of the most popular ones there include Bantayan Island in Santa Fe. They offer tandem dives for 18,000 pesos for landing at the airport, but if you opt to land on a white sand beach instead, you can do so for an additional 1,000 pesos.

4. Siquijor

Siquijor Island, located in the Visayas area of the Philippines, is one of the most accessible places for skydiving. It’s relatively easy to enter Siquijor Island via Cebu, Dumaguete, or Bohol. The drop zone in Siquijor has one of the most amazing views you can find in the Philippines. There are different skydiving packages for Siquijor ranging from 19,000 pesos up to 269,000 pesos.

5. Davao Oriental

This province is a premium ecotourism destination; it hosts many beautiful tourist spots like white beaches, untouched mountains, and beautifully preserved forests. They also have hidden waterfalls, and historical attractions. This province also offers skydiving packages that start at around 18,000 pesos.

All these destinations are situated within the country, and sky diving services are made more accessible to you, so you won’t have to go so far to experience this adrenaline-pumping sport, as you witness the hidden gems and world-class beauty that is the Philippines.
