ABS-CBN Music ruled Billboard Philippines’ maiden Hot 100 and Top Philippine Songs with multiple songs topping both charts from Kapamilya acts Maki and BINI.

Maki topped the Hot 100 chart for the week of July 6 with his hit song “Dilaw” released under Tarsier Records, one of the labels of ABS-CBN Music.

The singer-songwriter expressed his delight in being part of OPM’s success in the chart.

“Celebrating this along with all the OPM artists that are on top of the charts! I’m just so thrilled and glad that OPM is thriving, very much alive, and that I get to share my part as an artist in this generation of Filipino music,” said Maki in a Facebook post.

His “Dilaw” single is correspondingly at the no. 1 spot of Top Philippine Songs (week of July 6) while his breakout single, “Saan?,” made it to the list at no. 16.

The nation’s girl group BINI also reigned supreme with multiple positions in the Hot 100 chart: “Salamin, Salamin” at no. 2, “Pantropiko” at no.4, “Karera” at no. 7, and “Lagi” at no. 9. Their other songs “Huwag Muna Tayong Umuwi,” “Na Na Na,” and “I Feel Good,” all released under ABS-CBN’s Star Music record label, are part of the list as well.

The OPM girl group likewise ruled the Top Philippine Songs chart, occupying five slots in the Top 10 with “Salamin, Salamin” at no. 2, “Pantropiko” at no. 3, “Karera” at no. 4, “Lagi” at no. 5, and “Huwag Muna Tayong Umuwi” at no. 10.

According to Billboard Philippines, Hot 100 ranks the biggest songs in the country weekly, “based on streaming data and sales from leading musical services” while Top Philippine Songs names “the biggest local artists and songs making waves around the Philippines.”
