A Soul, Funk, Jazz artist Madz Johnson successfully stage her first Madz Live here in the Philippines ĺast February 11, 2023 at RJ Bistro, Dusit Thani Manila. It was definitely an awesome night to celebrate the music from the old school funk and love. Congratulations Madz!!!
Madz perform her original songs like Sunset Love and It’s So Easy fom the album, Versatility. Madz Johnson is a Filipina-American Musician, Singer, Promoter, Songwriter, Arranger of her own music from Virginia, USA. She holds 3 World 7 Month Tours under her belt : Europe, Scandinavian countries, Canada and United States, as Ambassador of Goodwill of her country, as an esteemed Alumna of the Chorus UPCC (University of the Philippines Concert Chorus), and as a soloist of Classical, Broadway and Pop Music.
During one of her world tours, she was the first woman member of the TALES OF THE MANUVU (A Rock Opera), the first Filipino group to perform at His Majesty’s Theatre in England where she met the Royal Family.

Do you know that Madz is also an Alumna of UP Madrigal Singers, she was featured as soloist in an ASIAN TOUR. She also had the chance to do shows and various concerts in the Philippines at the age of 12-18 yrs. with Leah Salonga, Dulce, and Freddie Aguilar, to name a few.
She has composed various Jingles, Commercials on TV and Movie Theme songs at the age of 17 in the Philippines.
Madz made a big come back in 2015 with her first Major Concert in the Philippines entitled, JAZZ1337 at Music Museum. This was a SOLD OUT Concert where she performed with mainstream artists like RIVERMAYA, RANNIE RAYMUNDO, DESSA, DARRYL SHY, JOYCE PRING, and many more.
In the U.S., she has performed at Prince Tribute with CHICO DEBARGE; at SOHO, in Santa Barbara, CA., with Bethesda Blues and Jazz Supper Club; and at DeBarge Revisited at UCLA with BUNNY DEBARGE, JAMES DEBARGE, CHICO DEBARGE and El DEBARGE JR.,
She also shared a stage with KLYMAXX, The Original LAKESIDE, CHICO DEBARGE, MARCUS JOHNSON, PFUNK CONNECTION, Kid PFunkedelic MIKE HAMPTON, at the Soul Funk Jazz Summer Festival in Aug. 26, 2017
Madz is back to writing her genre of music. She released her first Original song in the USA in Feb 2015 entitled “SMILE” that’s being aired in different countries like USA, Philippines, Japan, and Europe. Madz is the Founder of Soul Funk Jazz Summer Festival that just happened August 26, 2017 At Rosecroft Raceway in Maryland was a great success with over 3,500 people. Her newest single “LATIN & SOUL” will give you the feel of Latin and Soul Music all in one and “Journey to Myself” Working on her Soul Funk Album to be release 2018, and will also record Jazz Standards on Vinyl Record 8 volumes, and String Jazz Orchestra Album this year.
She is also one of the finalist at “The Musicianship’s Whammie Awards 2023 for “Best Jazz Song” and “Best Jazz Artist. Congratulations!
