*NASAAN SI HESUS?* features an accomplished ensemble led by Janno Gibbs, Rachel Alejandro, Geneva Cruz, Jeffrey Hidalgo, Marissa Sanchez, Salome Salvi, Via Antonio, Chloe Jenna, and Cecil Paz. The film also introduces fresh talents Rachel Gabreza and Giani Sarita, with special participation from industry veterans Bembol Roco and Jerald Napoles.
The movie showcases original songs composed by Mrs. Lourdes “Bing” Pimentel, with screenplay and direction by multi-awarded filmmaker Dennis Marasigan.
A Story Rooted in Humanity and Faith
Set in the village of Sto. Niño, the film interweaves the stories of several characters confronting trials that shake their beliefs, values, and sense of purpose:
* **Roger and Brenda**, along with their daughter Cindy, appear to be the perfect family—until temptation and its consequences threaten to destroy their peace.
* **Fr. Carlo**, the parish priest, grapples with internal weaknesses, questioning his spiritual grounding and the example he sets.
* **Sister Remedios** dedicates herself to caring for a group of streetchildren, despite the hesitation of novice **Sister Alma**.
* **Lucy**, a single mother, turns to drugs to survive and provide for her child, leading to deeper personal struggles.
* Other villagers face their own demons, including difficult employers like **Mrs. Varona** and opportunistic politicians like **Congressman Caramba**.
Each character’s journey reflects the universal search for hope, healing, and the courage to choose the right path.
The film is adapted from the long-running stage musical by Mrs. Pimentel and writer-director Nestor U. Torre.
