Frank Lloyd Mamaril, renowned TV, concert, and events director, is expanding his production company, FLM Creatives & Productions, to focus on nurturing talented artists in the music industry. While FLM has built a reputation for producing events and shows, the company seems dedicated to discovering and managing emerging music artists.

In addition to his directing career, Direk Frank recently launched his music journey with the release of his debut single, “Made to Believe.” The song was co-written with Kier, a freelance performer and songwriter from Subic, Zambales. Kier’s collaboration with Direk Frank began after they met on PIE Night Long (PIE Channel) and later connected through social media. This partnership led to the creation of Formula 5, a group formed after Kier invited other talented performers to join Direk Frank’s digital show, “Homeoke Sessions.”

Formula 5 consists of Kier, Shone, full-time livestreamer from Negros Occidental, Lei, an independent streamer from Cavite, Kirby, a multi-talented artist from Agusan del Sur, and Direk Frank himself.

Under the guidance of Direk Frank, the group quickly gained attention, performing on radio and TV and holding their first mini-concert at Viva Café in December 2024. Their first recorded song is a cover of “Defying Gravity/Go the Distance,” along with their original Christmas tracks “Ang Ating Kwento,” “Always Been You,” and “Sa Darating Na Pasko,” are now available on streaming platforms.

“Life with the FLM group is unexplainable! like no words can explain how happy and grateful I am,” says Lei.

“I became more visible in the offline world and was given a chance to showcase more of what I’m capable of on different platforms,” says Shone.

“Through FLM, I’ve been able to experience firsthand the dreams I prayed for long ago. My dream of performing on big stages is finally becoming a reality,” says Kirby.

While Formula 5 enjoys making music together, the group members are also pursuing their individual music careers. Last January 19, 2025; Kier, Shone, Lei, and Kirby officially signed FLM Artists.

In addition, Oliver Agustin, a former computer graphics operator, gasoline boy, and performer from Parañaque City, has also signed as an artist under FLM. Oliver, who previously worked with FLM as a performer and staff member, will now embark on his music career under Direk Frank’s mentorship.

“For the past 2 years maraming nangyari sa journey ko together with FLM team. There’s a lot of realizations na hindi lahat ng bagay ay minamadali, na we need to trust and enjoy the process,” says Oliver.

During a concert-like press conference last night (January 19, 2025), the artists unveiled their upcoming releases. The tracks were written, in just a week, by Kier, who serves as their primary songwriter:

• “Hayaan” (by Kirby) – A song about forgiveness and acceptance, inspired by Janine Tenoso’s “Ang Awit Natin.”

Release Date: January 31, 2025

• “FBS” (by Shone) – A song about letting go for someone else’s happiness, inspired by Taylor Swift’s “Back to December.”

Release Date: February 14, 2025

• “Layo” (by Oliver) – A self-empowerment anthem about moving on, inspired by Juan Karlos’ “Tapusin Na Natin To.”

Release Date: March 1, 2025

• “Linaw” (by Lei) – A song about confusion in a situationship, influenced by Maki’s “Dilaw” and Eugene Layug’s “Kabet Pala Ako.”

Release Date: March 19, 2025

Additionally, Kier’s track “Huwag Sana” and Direk Frank’s debut single “Made to Believe” are available on all major streaming platforms.

When asked about Kier’s dream, he answered, “to be known as a recording artist and songwriter, music producer and be able to work hand in hand with artists, like Miss Regine Velasquez Alcasid, Sir martin Nievera and more.”

Luckily, they have FLM by their side to pave the way for them, “I want them to realize their dreams and to keep in mind that talent without passion is obsolete. Inspire to keep dreaming and keep reaching for the stars,” says direk Frank.
